About Us East England

Established in 2005 as the ‘Norwich Radiology Academy’, the East of England Imaging Academy is a part of a nationwide Academies initiative, that was designed to deliver training in dedicated well-resourced training facilities that would enable the UK to train the increasing number of consultant radiologists required to meet the burgeoning demands for imaging in twenty first century medicine. As of 2024 the Academies project has blossomed from its initial four main sites in Cardiff, Plymouth, Leeds and Norwich with academies becoming a standard for excellence across the profession and radiology training.

Over the years, the East of England Imaging Academy has evolved and expanded its offerings to meet the growing needs of the imaging community. Our state-of-the-art facilities in Norwich provide an immersive learning environment, equipped with the latest simulator technology and resources to ensure our participants receive the most relevant and practical training. We are proud to be a leading member of a national network of academies that set the benchmark for multi-proffesional radiology education, fostering collaboration and innovation across the field. As we continue to grow and adapt to the advancements in imaging technology, our commitment remains steadfast: to equip the next generation of imaging professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in a rapidly evolving medical landscape.
